FAQ
What will it look like to work together?
My goal is to help you enjoy the planning process by making it as easy & efficient as possible. We’ll start with booking a call where I collect your event info & preferences in order to create an estimate & design proposal. I’ll then send you a custom design board, quote & contract for easy booking (we can always adjust your needs throughout the planning process, but I like to make sure the foundation is solid from the beginning so there aren’t any big surprises on either end!) After booking, we take care of the floral details throughout the planning process & will follow up about 2 months prior to your day to finalize your order.
who’s your ideal client?
If you’re someone who cares about sourcing seasonally & locally, are willing to give creative freedom, and/or can make decisions easily, then you’re my kind of client! I appreciate when a client has a few ideas, color preferences & inspiration photos, but ultimately trusts me with the details. I’ll be honest: I’m here for the flowers, not the hype of the wedding industry… at the end of the day, my goal is make your day beautiful so you can stay present while celebrating with your guests.
How would you describe your floral design style?
In 3 words: Coastal, Natural, & Refined
I’m inspired by California’s colors & textures, and aim to create designs that are tropical and/or garden-inspired, seasonal & timeless (so you can look back in 20 years & still enjoy looking at your day!)
Can you tell us more about your sustainability efforts?
Yes! As a florist working directly with nature, I feel a responsibility to lower my impact on the environment. The three main ways I do this are by: 1) sourcing as locally & seasonally as possible, 2) making sure all product ends up in the compost or green bin after an event (you’d be surprised how often flowers get thrown in a venue’s dumpster!), & 3) by working towards eliminating the use of floral foam & chemicals in my arrangements (which don’t break-down easily & ultimately harm our environment).
How did you find yourself owning a floral design company; and where do you get your flowers from?
In college I majored in fine art while working in the event industry, as well as interned for the visual display team at Anthropologie. After freelancing for other floral designers for about five years, I started picking up work for friends / friends-of-friends & finally decided to go for it full-time in 2017!
I do my best to support local farms as well as our local wholesaler, Florabundance. I always source new floral product for each event to ensure the highest quality & freshest blooms.
